Day One: Hanoi - Tuan Chau marina - Halong Bay – Lunch – Kayaking at Dark & Bright (Hang Sang – Toi) Cave and swimming – Sunset Happy Hour – Cooking demonstration – BBQ Dinner – Onboard night activities.

08:15 | Depart Hanoi on a 2.5-hour journey via comfortable shuttle bus. The bus will stop at a half-way point to allow you to stretch your legs, buy snacks, and use the restroom. 

11:45 – 12.00 | Upon arrival to Tuan Chau Marina, transfer by speedboat to Stellar of the Seas. Meet the captain and crew and listen to the safety briefing while sipping the refreshing welcome drink. 

12:30 – 14:00 | Set sail as lunch begins in the expansive dining room with both indoor and outdoor dining areas. Once you’ve finished each sumptuous plate, take the time to freshen up in your suite, appreciating the landscapes of Con Vit and Thumb Islets as well as Gia Luan Harbor from your private terrace. 

14:30 – 15:30 | Choose from kayaking or taking a magical bamboo boat rowed by local fisherwomen through the iconic Dark & Bright Cave. Admire the dazzling combination of white limestone karsts, emerald green waters, and the dark shadows of the cave interiors, creating a truly unforgettable moment. While the Light cave is always accessible, please be aware sometimes the Dark cave is not due to tidal patterns. 

16:00 – 18:00 | Lounge by the swimming pool or have a go at the mini-golf course! Whatever your pick, make sure to watch the sun set with a drink in hand from the sundeck for a magnificent view during the sunset happy hour party. 

18:00 – 18:30 | Join us for a short cooking demonstration. Our chef will teach you all about one of the most popular traditional Vietnamese dishes, spring rolls! And yes of course, you will get to try one or two, don’t worry! 

19:00 – late | Come and enjoy a fabulous BBQ dinner served next to the swimming pool, under the stars. Once dinner has finished, the evening is yours to do as you please. Wind down after an exciting day in the spa with a ginger footbath with lemongrass and salt followed by a massage, or perhaps watch a movie with a cocktail at the Panoramic bar. Wine aficionados should definitely spend some time in the Wine & Cigar cellar, while cultural enthusiasts can try their luck at catching squid under the moonlight from the bow of the ship.

Day Two: Tai Chi – Breakfast – Lan Ha Bay – Lunch – Cycling at Viet Hai Village and swimming – Dinner – Free time for activities (For 3D/2N cruise only)

06:30 | Early risers will adore a Tai Chi session on the sun deck as the sun rises. Tai chi helps focus the mind and condition the body and there is no better environment to practice this than amongst the limestone peaks and islands. Likewise, you can follow your own exercise regime at the fitness area next to the golf course. 

07:30 – 09:00 | Welcome the morning with a piping hot bowl of pho or any of the other delicious breakfast options as the ship continues to cruise further into Lan Ha Bay for the afternoon’s activities. Relax on board Stellar of the Seas with the wind blowing through your hair as the ship navigates its way through the hundreds of islands in the Cat Ba Archipelago. 

11:30 | Lunch is served before the Viet Hai Adventure begins! 

13:00 | Transfer to a speedboat to begin your discovery of the area surrounding Viet Hai Village, a place that is not reachable by modern roads. Upon arrival to the Viet Hai pier, grab a bicycle and begin pedalling through the luscious fields and rain forests to Viet Hai Village. Take a brief pause to visit a local family’s house to see their day-to-day tasks before heading to an isolated beach to sunbathe and swim in Lan Ha Bay. Before it gets too dark, the speedboat will take you back to the Stellar of the Seas. 

18:00 | Free at leisure aboard the ship to bask in the sunset and enjoy happy hour at the bar or a swim in the pool as the ship cruises to its resting place for the night. 

19:00 - late | Sit down for dinner in the restaurant and have your mind blown as each course unfolds before your eyes in true luxury. Afterwards, get cosy during movie night or have a look at our selection of board games.

Day Three: Golf Lesson – Breakfast – Bay visit via speedboat and swimming – Lunch – Departure (Day two for 2D/1N cruise) 

06:00 | Trade the Tai Chi for a golf lesson this morning and learn how to drive the ball with one of our talented coaches. 

07:00 – 07:45 | Local light breakfast is served. 

08:00 | Choose from sightseeing Halong Bay via tender boat or take a final swim around the ship before checking out of your suite at 9:30. 

10:00 | Sit down for a traditional Vietnamese lunch as the ship sails back towards Tuan Chau Marina. 

12:00 | Disembark from the cruise as our crew say farewell and return to the port by speedboat to board the shuttle bus. Arrival back to Hanoi will be around 15:30.

PAYMENTS

A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total booking is required within three days from the date of confirmation. The balance payment is due at 45 days prior to embarkation date. For bookings made less than 45 days, full payment is required. Bookings will be cancelled if payments are not received by the due date(s).

Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit cards. In addition to the total payable amount, credit card payments will incur a merchant fee of 2.5% for MasterCard and Visa, 3% for American Express. Any bank charges and merchant fees must be covered by the customer. 

CANCELLATIONS

Confirmed bookings must be cancelled by the party leader in writing (by email) and this will only be effective once the written cancellation is confirmed by ATA Holidays. Cancellation by the party leader will be subject to the following cancellation fees from the date the written cancellation is received:

For bookings of up to 05 cabins

• more than 15 days prior to embarkation date - 10% of total cost

• between 8 and 15 days prior to embarkation date - 50% of total cost

• within 7 days prior to embarkation date or “no show” - 100% of total cost.

For bookings of 06 cabins to 09 cabins

• more than 30 days prior to embarkation date - 10% of total cost

• between 21 and 30 days prior to embarkation date - 25% of total cost

• between 15 and 20 days prior to embarkation date - 50% of total cost

• between 8 and 14 days prior to embarkation date - 75% of total cost

• within 7 days prior to embarkation date or “no show” - 100% of total cost.

AMENDMENTS

Any amendments to confirmed bookings must be requested by the party leader in writing (by email). Whilst we will endeavor to assist, we cannot guarantee that requests will be met. If we can make the requested change, you will be provided with a quote detailing any additional costs, whether incurred due to your amendments, imposed by a Third-Party Travel Provider, or our amendment fees. In all cases, the following amendment fees shall apply:

For bookings of up to 05 cabins

• If amendments are made more than 15 days prior to embarkation date: the first amendment is free of charge. From the second amendment: a charge of A$50 per amendment.

• If amendments are made within 15 days prior to embarkation date: the above standard cancellation fees will apply, and full price will apply to new travel arrangements.

For bookings of 06 cabins to 09 cabins

• If amendments are made more than 30 days prior to embarkation date: the first amendment is free of charge. From the second amendment: a charge of A$50 per amendment.

• If amendments are made within 30 days prior to embarkation date: the above standard cancellation fees will apply, and full price will apply to new travel arrangements.

We will not charge any cancellation/amendment fees if it is due to a breach by us of any of our obligations or due to our fault; or if the Third-Party Travel Provider amends your booking through no fault of the customer.

COVID-19 RELATED POLICIES

If you can’t travel as a direct result of Covid-19 related matters, ATA Holidays will:

• allow you to change the dates of your holiday; or

• offer you a credit for another holiday, minus any unrecoverable costs imposed by Third-Party Travel Providers; or 

• give you a refund, minus any unrecoverable costs imposed by Third-Party Travel Providers. 

This policy is only valid if the ability to travel is beyond your control. You are required to provide reasonable documentation confirming that your inability to travel is due to Covid-19 related matters. For cancellations or modifications due to reasons not related to Covid-19, our standard policies as stipulated in our terms and conditions apply.
