It is a 20 acre complex that will take at least a half day to tour. The grand vista is the over 100 ft long golden reclining Buddha. He is massive in size and grandeur. Bring your umbrellas personal fans and sunblock because it will be hot. It will also be crowded espy at the temples of which there are many at the complex. You can see the Hindu influences in the Buddhist statues that are in some of the temples. Henry, Wat Pho - TripAdvisor.

Wow! The entire palace grounds were truly, absolutely breathtaking. Everywhere you look there was another intricate detail on a statue, mural, wall, or window. I didn't realize how big it was or else I probably would have planned to spend more time there. They won't let you in without pants or a skirt and your shoulders need to be covered, so plan accordingly - you do not want to miss this! Sarah, Grand Palace - Trip Advisor.

This place is a magnificent collection of ancient Thai architecture, boasting splendid structures that are truly awe-inspiring. Visitors will be captivated by the vibrant and diverse array of colorful statues, making it a photographer's paradise. However, it is advisable to avoid visiting during holidays, as the crowds can be overwhelming. Fang, Emerald Buddha Temple - TripAdvisor.

If the pomp and splendor of the Bangkok royal palace is of your liking, then the Royal Barges Museum is a must go in my opinion. It contains 10 or so enormous barges. All covered with ornaments and a huge pile of gold. All very accessible and with good interpretations in English. Reaching the museum is a bit of a hustle: it lays a bit hidden. A bit strange for a museum with such a grand collection. But the walk for 10 minutes through the warren of alleyways leading to the museum gives you the opportunity to see how ordinary people in Bangkok live. David, Royal Barges National Museum - TripAdvisor.

This park was incredible. You can tell how much they love and care for the elephants. They gave us an introduction and then we were able to feed, walk with, and bathe the elephants. Every step felt respectful and like we were just part of the elephants’ normal day and routine. Each elephant had a story about how they were rescued and why they were there. It was so touching to hear some of the stories. The owner is an incredible person. Ashley, Elephant Rescue Park - TripAdvisor.

We visited Wachirathen falls on our way to Doi Inthanon and were surprised to see such great & beautiful waterfall. After enjoying the falls & taking some great pictures, there is a cafe & some stalls for refreshments. A must visit place. Vratin, Wachirathan Waterfall - TripAdvisor.

Doi Inthanon National Park is a must see in Chiang Mai and Thailand as a whole. What I particularly liked where the King and Queen pagodas and the beautiful flowers all around. The brown one is The Kings and the purple one is The Queens. Both decorated beautifully but differently. It's great to walk through them and try to spot the intricate differences between the two of them. The chrysanthemums add colour and character and you can sit and enjoy the scenery. Joe - TripAdvisor.
